The Introduction of Affiliated Libraries in Mashhad
The library of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Hashem Qazvini (RAH) was opened on two floors (the ground floor for men and the basement for women) in 1989 due to the effort of the great Custodian of AQR, who was passionate about promoting books-reading culture and caring for needy areas.
The independent and new building of the women's library was constructed in 2007 and began to be used after being widely welcomed by women, following the emphasis of the great Custodian of AQR.
Over 160,000 printed book volumes, 11,700 audio-visual resources, and three periodical titles are available at this library. It currently has about 30,000 members.
