The library of Imam Reza (AS) in Birjand was designed by Astan Quds Razavi in ​​2001 in a part of Akbariyeh garden that has a cultural use.

In 2002, Imam Reza (AS) Library was designed by Astan Quds Razavi and located in Akbariyeh Garden, which also serves cultural purposes. It was opened on two floors and made accessible to book and reading fans.
History and geographical location:
Imam Reza (AS) Library in Birjand was constructed and inaugurated in 2002 by Astan Quds Razavi in a section of the Akbariyeh Garden that contains cultural purposes. It occupies an area of 2,100 square meters and has an infrastructure of 880 square meters on two floors. The library became accessible to those who enjoy books and book reading.

The library contains 48,394 printed books, 5,130 audio- visual resources, and four titles of periodicals. The number of members in this library is currently 26,091.
Different sections of the library:
This library is divided into different areas, including the men and women's study and lending hall, the press hall, the audio- visual resources hall, the internet unit, the children's station, the digital library, and the private reading room (VIP) for men and so forth.
The Children's Station at the library was established during mid-Sha'ban, which marks the blessed birthday of Hazrat Ghaem (May God hasten his return) on 2 May 2018, to make it easier for patrons to use children between 3 and 7 years old.
There is no charge for membership in this section.
