The Organisation of Libraries, Museums and Documents Centres of AQR and Razavi Civil and Development Organisation worked together to open the second library that is affiliated with Astan Quds Razavi in Gonabad during the Fajr decade 2018.
History and geographical location:
The  library of Imam Reza  )AS) in Gonabad was inaugurated in Gonabad in 2018 as the second affiliated library with Astan Quds during the Fajr decade through video conference with the efforts of the Organisation of Libraries, Museums and Documents Centres of AQR and with the cooperation of the Development Organisation and the presence of the respectable Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi and Hojjat al-Islam and Muslim Gonabadinejad, the honourable head of Astan Quds Razavi Cultural Organisation, the honourable supervisor of the civil organisation, the honourable head of the Library Organisation of Astan Quds Razavi and city officials. The construction of this library was done by the Razavi Civil and Development Organisation on a land area of 2000 square meters, with a total infrastructure of 950 square meters.
The resources in the library and the numbers of the members:
The library has supplied nearly 16,000 printed books and 3,000 audio books, and it has made them accessible to its patrons and members. At the moment, there are nearly 3,000 members of this library.
Different sections of the library:
The library has distinct areas, including a separate hall for studying and borrowing books for both genders, a dedicated hall for children, a digital study station, a reference hall, an audio-visual section, Gooya [speaking] unit, historical studies and publications centre, and mobile book delivery unit. This library provides services to individuals who are passionate about culture and knowledge, as well as those who are interested in books and book reading.
