In 1996, the Library of Martyr Ayatollah Modares (RAH), situated beside the shrine of Hazrat Ayatollah Modares (RAH), was inaugurated with presence of the great Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.
History and geographical location:
In 1996, this library was established near the shrine of Modares, with a space of roughly 825 square meters spread across three floors and was inaugurated at the same time as the martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Modares (RAH), in the company of the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi. The purpose of this library was to provide service to those who seek science and knowledge. The Institute of Hazrat Hossein ibn Musa Al-Kazem (AS) and the tomb of Ayatollah Modares (RAH), a cultural institution in Astan Quds Razavi, were given the task of managing this library.
Resources in the library and the number of members:
This library has approximately 85,000 copies of printed books, approximately 11,000 audio-visual resources, and more than eight titles of periodicals. At present, there are 34,000 active members in this library.
Different sections of the library:
There are multiple sections in this library, including the open-shelf study hall, printed resource lending section, researchers section, audio-visual section, men's and women's special press sections, and an educational counselling unit.
Library Working Hours:
This library is accessible to those who are interested in knowledge, professors, and students from universities and seminaries daily except for holidays from 7.15 to 19.30.
