The Blessed Astana Institute of Hazrat Hussein bin Musa Al-Kazim (AS) in line with the development of its cultural activities and in order to strengthen the principles and religious beliefs of the people, especially the youth and teenagers, and to promote the education of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in the vicinity of the Manor Bargah of his dear brother Hazrat Imam Reza (A) proceeded to build a library with different uses.

The Hazrat Hussein ibn Musa Al-Kazem (AS) Institute constructed a library near to the mausoleum of the precious brother of Imam Reza (AS) with multiple purposes to advance the development of its cultural activities and reinforce the principles and religious beliefs of the people, especially young and teenaged individuals, and promote education of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
History and geographical location:
The Hazrat Hussein ibn Musa Al-Kazem (AS) Institute constructed a library near to the mausoleum of the precious brother of Imam Reza (AS) with multiple purposes to advance the development of its cultural activities and reinforce the principles and religious beliefs of the people, especially young and teenaged individuals, and promote education of Ahl al-Bayt (AS). On the west side of the holy shrine, there are three floors of this library with an area of 1,860 square meters. At the end of 1998, it started construction and was put into operation at the beginning of 2001. The Cultural Institutions of Astan Quds, including Hazrat Hossein ibn Musa al-Kazem (AS) and the tomb of Martyr Ayat Modares (RAH), were given the responsibility of managing it. The proximity to the blessed threshold of Musa ibn Ja'far (AS) son, its spiritual atmosphere, and the ability to host various cultural programs have made this library a popular destination for science and knowledge lovers.
Resources in the library and the number of members:
The library's collection includes 74,000 printed books, more than 8,000 audio-visual sources, and more than 20 periodicals. There are currently 12,000 members who are actively involved in this library.

The library has a wide variety of sections to choose from, including the open- shelf study hall, printed resources lending section, reference section, children and teenagers section, audio-visual section, press section, and Internet section for men and women, as well as the conference hall.
