The Rajah Mahmud Abad Library was endowed to the holy shrine of Razavi in 1989, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Samen al-Hojjaj (AS). This was achieved through the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in New Delhi and the approval of Astan Quds Razavi.

The Rajah Mahmud Abad Library was endowed to the holy shrine of Razavi in 1989, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Samen al-Hojjaj (AS). This was achieved through the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in New Delhi and the approval of Astan Quds Razavi according to which Waqif is in charge of the library's custodianship, and the supervisory board is in charge of providing costs and expenses. To clarify, the manuscripts of this library are kept in the Qaisar Bagh area of Lucknow, while the printed books are kept in Mahmud Abad (56 kilometres away from Lucknow).

To those interested in knowledge, this library offers nearly 1,650 copies of manuscripts and 37,500 copies of printed books in Farsi, Arabic, Urdu, and English languages.
