Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Hakim Library began operating in 1996, coinciding with the birth of Imam Hussein (AS) by Ayatollah Seyed Mohammad Taqi Hakim and the late Hajiye Marzieh Hakim.
History and geographical location:
This library was opened in 1996, coinciding with the birth of Imam Hussain (AS) by the founders of Hazrat Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Taqi Hakim, who endowed the library resources (manuscripts, lithographic books and printed books) and the late Hajiye Khanum Marzieh Hakim, who endowed the library's land. In 2000, the library mentioned above was endowed to the threshold of Hazrat Samen al-Hojjaj (AS). In 2009, donors' hard work and purchasing houses around the library led to the beginning of construction of a new building. A new building was constructed and inaugurated in 2014 on 420 square meters of land, featuring 6 floors and an approximate infrastructure of nearly 1,800 square meters.

There are 196 manuscripts, 388 lithographic books, and more than 50,000 printed books in this library, as well as periodicals that cater to different scientific levels and those interested in learning. At this time, there are more than 10,000 members who are actively involved in this library.

The library offers various sections for both men and women, with halls for open study and lending, press, internet, conference hall, dining hall, advanced repository of manuscripts and lithographic books, and more.
