Cultural Tuesdays, An Intelligent Presentation of Razavi Exquisite Materials Treasury

The director of Islamic Research Foundation of Astan Quds Razavi in the twenty-second unveiling program of the "Cultural Tuesdays" of Astan Quds Razavi Library with the theme of Ghadir Khom, called this program an intelligent and wise presentation of Razavi exquisite martials treasury.

According to Razavi treasury, Hojat al-eslam Marvian in this meeting, considered the program of "Cultural Tuesdays", a valuable and appreciable movement. It presents wisely the unique exquisite materials treasury of Astan Quds Razavi to the researchers’ community.

He expressed that since starting of cultural Tuesdays’ program, the recognition of the value and importance of manuscripts and referring to them has increased. He added:  Astan Quds Razavi Library is also proud to preserve and repair these exquisite materials. In this field, not only it is a model, pioneer and creative for others, but it has also turned to revive and represent wisely that is fit to the present works. Furthermore, this approach moves the library forward to fulfill its lofty goals.

He emphasized that the duty of a library is not just safeguarding but sharing of wealth of knowledge. The library should send various groups to the Islamic world with axis of teachings of the Prophet (PBUH), Qur'an and Islamic studies, in order to gather authentic resources in this sacred place for scholars.

At the end, Dr Marvian considered the manuscripts as a current social art, a step towards a new Islamic realization to be benefited from the past for the construction of future. He declared:  It is important that codicology becomes a common trend in the society. So that everyone gets acquainted with knowledge of codicology in his work field. Therefore, by this way, the current   modern Islamic civilization can be transformed into social movement in different classes of society.
