Cultural Tuesdays; A feat in cultural field
Razavi Treasury reported that Libraries, Museums and Document Center of Astan Quds Razavi invites interested people to the unique exquisite materials display to a surprise inspiring program of “Cultural Tuesdays”. This innovative movement has begun its work since 2019 March by unveiling of the 11th century handwritten Quran with 430 extraordinary innovations. Twenty-four exquisite objects and collections have been unveiled in this Center and five others have been unveiled in Yazd, Tehran and Tabriz cities.
The following items, as well, have been unveiled in recent weeks at this program: The oldest SAHIFAH AL-SAJJADIYYAH in the world; the oldest complete handwritten Quran in the world attributed to Ali (AS); Razavi Nagharkhane( a place where drums played) documents as the oldest religious Nagharkhane; one of the oldest and the most exquisite rugs in the world; the world’s smallest Quran arm-tied; 1200 year old Imam Reza (AS) coins; the single copy of “Balad al-Amin” the oldest publication of Mashhad Municipality; the exquisite collection of manuscripts of Shahnameh, wills, manuscripts and donated works of Imam Khomeini to the library of Astan Quds Razavi and unseen documents of the historical uprising of Goharshad Mosque have been part of the collection unveiled in recent weeks.
Hojjat al-Islam Dr. Hosieni the director of Libraries, Museums and Document Center of Astan Quds Razavi (the creator of this project) mentioned that the purpose of this movement is to introduce these exquisite materials to the world and promote the Ahl al- Bayt (AS) cognition. Referring to the statement of the Supreme Leader in the second step of the revolution, he called the available exquisite materials, the potential capacities of culture, art and the ancient civilization in Astan Quds Razavi treasures. He said that as the first goal, we follow the idea of Cultural Tuesdays in order to materialize the statement of the Supreme Leader in the second step of the revolution. Dr. Hosseini, by referring to Astan Quds Razavi's approach to become a scientific authority, added: "Documents, museum objects and manuscripts are the features of culture, art and civilization that contain a distinct message and by unveiling of these works we invite scholars to do research in this field to introduce these works with all their cultural, artistic and objective values.
He also said that to revere benefactors of these exquisite materials is another goal of this project and also stated: “"We are doing our best to protect these works so that they can be well introduced to the world".
