Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution: a collection of articles

The book Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution translated by Dihqani, Muhsin comprises a collection of articles about the structure and anthropology of Revolution from the viewpoint of Imam Khomeini and the other theorists.

          Thus, studying them can make worthwhile contribution to the understanding of various facets of the revolution. The book begins with the verbal and classical definition of the word ‘Revolution’. Beyond its literal definition, we can say that Revolution is the overthrow of a socio-political system and its replacement with a new socio-political system. This transformation is fundamental and includes the social, economic, political, legal, ethical and cultural arena.
This work is the result of several studies and articles about the various aspects of this Revolution, which includes nine chapters. The first chapter offers the theory of Islamic Revolution from view point of Imam Khomeini, which consists of cognitive-understanding discussion of Revolution, trampling upon the rights and freedom of nations and spreading financial, administrative and moral corruption. The second chapter focuses on the various procedures and methods of discussion for studying the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
In the middle of the book, the author made a comparison between the Islamic Revolution and the great Revolutions of the world as follows: the Islamic Revolution of Iran was civilization-oriented Moreover, it was a reformist revolution but the most significant factor in victory of the Islamic Revolution was their purpose, the objective of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was sovereignty of God, establishment of justice and a religious identity in society.
The subject of third and the fourth chapter is the Rival of intellectual thoughts including Modernism, Socialism and nationalism and neglecting factor in explanations of the Islamic Revolution. The sixth chapter aims at studying economic, sociological, political and Ideological approach…etc. In analyzing revolutions, the last chapter offers the study of two pillars of revolution and their interaction, which categorized into two groupings: people-oriented Doctrines and Leader-oriented Doctrines.
