62 countries have received the invitation for participating in the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year
The executive secretary of the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year announced that 62 scientific, cultural, religious, research, and publishing institutions and intellectuals in various countries have received the invitation for submitting books to the festival.
According to Ganjin-e Razavi, Mahdi Qeisari Nik noted: "The international affairs section of the secretariat in collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization of Khorasan Razavi have sent the invitations to the Islamic institutions and cultural activists in various countries via the Cultural Consolers as well as the Iranian Cultural Houses abroad”.
He added: So far, 62 Cultural Consolers in various countries across the globe have received the call for submission. In addition to the website of the festival, the cultural institutions and intellectuals interested in submitting to the festival may refer to the Cultural Consolers abroad for further information. He also stated: the call for submission has been translated into English, Arabic, French, and Urdu. Moreover, some of the Cultural Consolers such as Iran’s Cultural Consoler in Azerbaijan, have translated the poster of the festival into the language of their host countries.
According to Gheiseri Nik, the festival aims to promote the Razavi culture, expand the scientific, research, literary and art activities related to Imam Reza's life and personality, identify, commemorate and support the selected authors of the best scientific, cultural and art books, and disseminate the Islamic civilization discourse.
Sections of the Festival
Pointing to different sections of the festival, Qeiseri Nik said: “The 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year has various sections including the printed and digital books and audiobooks, academic/seminary theses and dissertations, unpublished works, active publishers, international (works authored in a popular language), the Sirāj Award (which shall be granted to the best works on Islamic sciences and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt translated from Persian into popular languages of the world), and the ‘Ālim-i Āl-i Muḥammad (P.B.U.H.) Award (which will be granted to the best foreign publisher active in the field of the Islamic sciences and teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt).”
“All the submitted works should cover one of the following themes and subjects: Imam Reza (A.S.) and his family, Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.), Imam Javad (A.S.), Imam Hadi (A.S.), Imam Askari (A.S.), Imam Mahdi (A.S.), Husayn b. Musa al-Kazim (A.S.), Ahmad b. Musa al-Kazim (A.S.) known as "Shah Cheragh", and Lady Fatima Masumeh (A.S.)” he added.
The Special Section of the Thirteenth Festival
As Qeiseri Nik indicates, the 13th festival has a section entitled “The Special Section” which seeks to implement the guidelines outlined by the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi at the end of the 12th festival. He also added, “works written in this field would receive special support.”
According to the scientific secretary of the festival, these issues include »providing practical solutions for the conceptual and practical promotion of the pilgrimage, highlighting its epistemological as well as emotional and intellectual aspects«, »offering practical solutions for increasing the pilgrim’s Ma’rifah (cognition or knowledge) of Imam Reza (A.S.), and reinforcing the spirit of practical Guardianship or Wilāya among the pilgrims«, »providing practical strategies for the promotion of the culture of reading books«, »providing practical strategies for further development of the structure of the holy shrine complex in a manner that the practical programs will be designed regarding the role of the Astan Quds Razavi«, »encouraging pilgrims to read books and acquire knowledge so that to be able to counter Islamophobia, defend the sanctity of the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and his holy household (A.S.), and implement the guidelines of the Supreme Leader«, »the role that the teachings of Imam Reza (A.S.) play in the realization of the Second Phase of the Revolution Statement (the purification of the soul and civilization-building( and the role of Astan Quds Razavi in developing the modern Islamic civilization discourse«, »the position of martyr and martyrdom«, »the role of Astan Quds Razavi in developing the modern Islamic civilization discourse, the relationship between the martyrs and Imam Reza (A.S.), as well as the contributions that Astan Quds Razavi made to the Sacred Defense«.
Qeisari Nik noted that writers and publishers can send their works published in 2020 and 2021 to the secretariat of the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year (Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi, Holy Shrine of Imam Reza) until May 5, 2022.
It should be noted that the closing ceremony of the festival will be held at the Organization of Libraries, Museums and Documents Center of Astan Quds Razavi during the Karamat ten-day celebrations.
