*My aim is to defend the Ahl al-Bayt and attain the pleasure of God and the Prophet (PBUH) *
The secretariat of the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year in collaboration with the Office of the Representative of the Supreme Leader in India held a meeting in the Urdu language to review the book, “The Virtues of Imam Reza (A.S.)” authored by the Sunni Indian writer.
According to Ganjin-e Razavi, in this meeting, the Indian Muslim Islamicist and follower of Hanafi Sunni Islam, Professor Khosrow Qasim noted that he has submitted to the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year with the aim of disseminating the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt and attaining the pleasure of God and the Prophet (PBUH).
In a meeting held via webinar to review his books, the professor at Aligarh University of India and the author of more than 100 volumes of books on the virtues of Ahl al-Bayt, who has submitted four works to the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year, stated: “I am an engineer, but one incident caused me to begin studying religious and hadith books and take steps in disseminating the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt.”
He explained: "A book was published in Pakistan that completely denied the virtues of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (A.S.). I was very surprised by this issue, and one night I saw the Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Ali (A.S.) in a dream. There were many wounds on the body of Imam Ali (A.S.). The Prophet (PBUH) told me to treat the wounds of Imam Ali (A.S.). Hence, I realized that I had to defend Amir al-Mu'minin (A.S.); so, I studied many books and began collecting the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt.”
Asserting that his aim in this work is neither acquiring fame nor wealth, he added: "I am an ordinary person who wants to defend the Ahl al-Bayt for the sake of attaining the pleasure of God and the Prophet; that is why my books will be distributed free of charge.”
Also, in this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Sayed Sebt Haidar Rizvi, the Indian scholar living in Mashhad and one of the winners of the previous Festivals of Razavi Book of the Year, made comments about the books of this Sunni author.
Furthermore, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Bagheri, the scientific secretary of the festival, while quoting a hadith attributed to Imam Reza (A.S.) thanked Professor Khosrow Qasim for spreading the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt and reviving their cause. Explaining the activities of the 13th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year, he said: "We ask the authors and publishers to submit their works including the printed books, ready-to-print works, dissertations and theses, audiobooks and digital books before the evaluation process begins.
It is worth mentioning that Professor Khosrow Qasim has edited and authored more than one hundred books on the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt in Urdu, English and Arabic languages. His works submitted to the festival include, " Imam Reza (A.S.) Ka'lami Maqam (Urdu language)," Tadhkirah al-Sayyidana Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (A.S.) "(Urdu and Arabic)," Arbaeen Imam Ali Reza (A.S.) Imam Ali Reza (A.S.) Si Marvi Chalis Ahadith (Sadatnameh)” and "Imam Ali Reza (A.S.) Ahl al-Bayt Ki Shn wa ‘Azimat Min De’bal Khazaei’ Ki Qasidi Kamkamal" (Urdu text and translation).
