Developing the activities in the fields of science, research, literature, and arts related to the lifestyle and various aspects of the character of Imam Riḍā (P.B.U.H.)
Identifying, praising and supporting the producers and creators of the best scientific, cultural and artistic works in the field or realm of Razavi culture
Themes & Sections
The International Book Festival of Imam Riḍā (P.B.U.H.) includes main sections (eight pivots), Subsections (eight pivots), international section, Razavi Book Servant (Khadem) section and especial section as follows:
Main Section
Imam Riḍā’s (P.B.U.H.) Life, Manners & Teachings
This section of the festival includes the eight following pivots. In every eight field, two works shall be selected and awarded with letters of commendation.
The Science of Ḥadīth and Rijāl
Ethics & Pedagogy and Education Sciences
Law & Jurisprudence
Philosophy and Theology
Psychology
Social Sciences
Lifestyle, History and Anthropology
Ṭib ul-Riḍā (P.B.U.H.) With the Two Approaches of the Old and New Medicine
The works submitted to the main section would require addressing Imam Riḍā’s (P.B.U.H.) life, manners and teachings. The especial reward of 8 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and letters of commendation shall be granted to the best selected works of the main section.
The creators of the selected works in this section shall be rewarded with 3 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and letters of commendation.
Subsections
This section of the festival also includes eight pivots. In every eight field, two works shall be selected and awarded with letters of commendation.
The Family of Imam Riḍā (P.B.U.H.) (Parents, brothers, sisters, wife and children of this magnanimous Imam)
The Disciples of Imam Riḍā (P.B.U.H.)
The Holy Shrine and Sacred Premises
The City of Mashhad al-Riḍā (P.B.U.H.)

Razavi Exquisite Works
Razavi Endowments
The creators of the selected works in every eight fields of the subsections shall be rewarded with 3 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and letters of commendation.
International Section
Works related to the theme of the festival and published by non-Iranian publishers into popular languages of the world with a large number of audience are judged in this section.
The selected works in this section shall be awarded € 2000 with the festival sculpture and letters of commendation.
The Section of Razavi Book Servants
Creators (authors, translators, and editors), book graphic designers (designers, illustrators, editors) and publishers that in a three-year period of the festival have published the most Razavi works are selected as Razavi Book Servants. Each of them shall be rewarded with 3 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and Razavi Book Servants letters of commendation.
Note: To get to the selection stage for Razavi Book Servants, the creator must have at least 3 works or 8 books, designers must have 5 works or 8 books, and publishers must have at least 8 works or 12 books.
Special Section
The 14th Intl. Festival of Razavi Book of the Year includes two special sections as follows: The First Section: In cooperation with the Fifth Global Congress of Imam Riḍā [P.B.U.H.], this section would appreciate the best published book with the slogan “the Civilizational Thought of Imam Riḍā: Justice for Everyone, Injustice for No One”.
With the collaboration of the Congress Secretariate, the selected works of this section shall be rewarded with 5 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and letters of commendation.
The Second Section: This section would appreciate the works published for children or adolescents with particular focus placed upon Islamic, moral and historical teachings in the field of Razavi teachings or pilgrimage (in the form of poem, fictional, dramatic and narrative literature; long story; short story; flash fiction; minimal story; nonfiction, play; scenario)
The selected works in this section shall be rewarded with 5 gold coins, the festival sculpture, and letter of commendation.
Schedule of the Festival:
Opening Ceremony or Open Call for Works: It would be coincided with the Blessed Ten Days of Fajr, the Victory Anniversary of the Glorious Islamic Revolution in 2024.
Submission Deadline: March 19, 2025
Closing Ceremony & the Announcement of the Selected and Commendable Works: It would be coincided with the celebrations on the ten days of Kirāmat.
Requirements of the Submitted Works:
The submitted books must be at least 32 pages and must have been officially published between March 21st, 2021 and March 19th, 2025.
In support of the translated works from Persian into other languages, these works would receive especial attention.
Submitted works are accepted in various forms (authoring, translation, prose, poetry, scenario, fiction and novel, digital book, etc.).
The participants must send three copies of their works to the festival secretariate.
Submitted works will not be returned.
The works must be sent by the creator (author, translator, editor, expounder, etc.) or publisher.
Sending multiple works by the creator and publisher is allowed.
The creators of the selected works in every eight field shall be granted the festival sculpture, letters of commendation, and exquisite rewards.
One great selected works of the festival shall be granted “Razavi trophy”.
The social acceptance and scientific value would be definitely considered in evaluating and selecting works.
Side Programs
Exhibition
The works submitted to the secretariat would be put on display in an exhibition on the closing ceremonies of the festival.
Review Sessions for the Works
Review sessions for the outstanding works submitted to the secretariat would be held with the presence of lecturers, university students and the enthusiasts at the same time as the festival.
Review sessions for the works submitted by the foreign authors would be held via video conference.
Translating Some Selected Works
The Festival’s Permanent Secretariat would translate some selected works into popular languages of the world which have a large number of audience, by obtaining permission from the owners of the works.
Notes or Considerations
Works submitted to the secretariat shall be assessed and judged by experienced professors of universities and the Islamic Seminary.
Authentic scientific certificates shall be granted to those participating in the festival and the book critique and examination sessions.
All of the selected submitters shall be present at the closing ceremony as guests of the festival’s secretariat.
The secretariat shall cover all the expenses of the guests, including transportation, accommodation, and reception during the festival.
